Curate (In Charge) f/t

Rev Andy Smith

Hey there, I'm Andy and it's my joy and privilege to be the Vicar of St Peter's! I'm married to Debbie and have two daughters, Phoebe and Verity who keep me in check!

I grew up without a faith but around 18 years ago I gave my life to Jesus and have been following him ever since. I'm most passionate about journeying with others, and love deep conversations about things that really matter. So...whether you'd describe yourself as a follower already, or whether you've still got massive questions (don't we all!), I'd love to meet you.

Curate

Rev Pete Balchin

Hello I’m Pete! I’m delighted to be serving as Curate here at St Peter’s Bengeworth. I recently moved to Evesham with my wife, Evie, and our four children, who are between four months and six years old. We’re really looking forward to becoming part of life at St Peter’s and getting to know people across Bengeworth and the wider community.

I’m particularly passionate about discipleship and helping us think about how we can grow together as followers of Jesus and love each other well.

Outside of church, I’ve recently got back into running and also enjoy cycling.

We’ve already received such a warm welcome from everyone at St Peter’s, and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has made us feel so at home. We’re really looking forward to getting to know you all!

Children & Families Worker

Emily Holmes

Hey! I’m excited to be part of the team at St Peter’s as Children and Families Worker. I spent over 15 years working as a primary school teacher and nursery nurse with children aged 3 months to 9 years—and I’ve loved every paint-splattered, question-packed, sticky-fingered moment of it!

I live locally with my two daughters, Jess and Chloe, their dad Chris, and our big fluffy dog, Bandit. We’re a lively household that knows all about mess, Minecraft, and bedtime negotiations.

I came to faith a few years ago—right here at this church—and now I’m passionate about helping children discover how amazing it is to know Jesus. I love creating spaces where children and families feel welcome, relaxed, and truly at home, and where faith in Jesus can grow through creativity, play, and community.

You’ll usually find me walking the dog, playing Roblox with my kids, or hiding with a book and a cup of tea when no one’s looking.
