Church Overview: St Peter’s Bengeworth is a growing Church in Evesham, East of the River Avon. The church has recently embarked upon a renewal project, partnering with All Saints Worcester with the aim of giving the church a renewed focus on mission in the community.

Role Overview: We are looking for a supportive ‘backbone’ to church activities, providing key administrative support at a pivotal stage in the life of our community whilst embodying and promoting the Christian mission of the church.

​

The role is grounded in the worshipping life of the church, and the successful candidate will help lead and contribute to the devotional rhythms of the staff team. The role will involve working within (and where necessary, developing) our administrative systems to help the church community flourish. The Ministries Coordinator will be responsible for managing the administration of life events (weddings, funerals, baptisms, and dedications) and assisting the clergy in preparing official records. They will have the primary responsibility for managing the church calendar, handling bookings inquiries, and will work with the Incumbent in co-ordinating volunteer teams to ensure that the buildings are clean, accessible and secure.
Most importantly, the role requires being a loving witness to the transforming power of Jesus as they act as the first point of contact for new people and partner organisations such as local schools and funeral directors, and providing a warm welcome to all who encounter the Church.

 

The post holder will be required to work flexible hours and there will be some weekend and evening working.
